Proctoring Information
Introduction
Neurolus Psychometrics allows candidates to select their own proctor rather than restricting exams to a single proctoring network. This reduces costs for candidates and ensures our exams are available worldwide. To maintain fair testing conditions, proposed proctors are reviewed and must be approved by Neurolus prior to exam scheduling.
This page is informational and does not replace our Terms of Service.
Proctor selection process
- The candidate finds a suitable proctor in one of the below categories.
- The candidate submits the "Select a proctor" form in the Candidate Portal they receive by e-mail after payment.
- Neurolus reviews the proposed proctor and approves or rejects them.
- Once approved, the candidate schedules their exam, and Neurolus delivers exam materials to their proctor.
Appropriate proctoring options
- Library: in North America, public libraries may offer free or low-cost proctoring services.
- University: globally, universities often have testing centers that can accommodate external examinations.
- Notary (public or civil): in civil-law jurisdictions, licensed notaries may be permitted to supervise and attest to an exam sitting.
- Private invigilator: this includes private testing centers and independent professionals such as lawyers.
Not permitted: family members, close friends, tutors, coaches, employees, or anyone with a personal relationship to the candidate.
